The King Dutch summer performance calendar kicked off on 6/9 in Brooklyn, and we’ve performed more than a dozen shows since then. Which gig was lucky number 13?
October 16th. Oneonta, NY. The Spleen.
Along with Donna’s Pool Boys and a brief cameo by Senior Living, King Dutch played a 15-song jumbo set in the awesomely grungy confines of the basement house party that is the Spleen. There was sweat. There was moshing. There was a brief mashup of Nirvana and Lil Nas X. What can we say? Oneonta rocks.
Shoutout to the underground musical ecosystem in Oneonta. From concert promoter Justin, to photographer Alexis, to engineer/producer Ethan, the creative crowd up north is putting in the work. You guys are inspiring, and King Dutch loves you.
Up next: we’re making our first foray into a distant land called “Long Island,” at Shakers Pub. They’ll be having male strippers there this Monday, but if you can’t make it to that show, come on out and see us play on Nov. 19th, for roughly 80% less male nudity, and 100% more original grunge.
